cheated by the opposite of love

The last few nights have been absolutely incredible. On wednesday night i went to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at the mayan theater with my sister Louisa, and Mia and Lena. Zoe went with Evan. Their performance was insane. Karen O. is such an amazing performer. She was wearing a leather dress and had this crazy cousin it hat. At one point she was on the floor with a glittering gold cape over her, with the microphone in her mouth, just screaming. Every song was impeccable, my only break from dancing (and screaming), was the beatifully sung "maps" where the crowd just went silent. Here are some pictures I gathered from Losanjelous and LaIST.

On thursday the yeah yeah yeahs played a private concert at Brian's house. It was part of the living room series. They did the whole set completly accoustic. It was beautiful and so emotional. Karen's voice sounded so amazing. I went with Zoe and Kaitlin J. came too. When they played we were literally two feet away from them which was so so so incredible, Zoe, Lena, Cassidy, Mia and I were all crouched on the floor. After the show, which everyone was raving about, we got to meet Karen and Nick and everyone. Nick was saying how it was so great for them to be able to do this show because their usual shows are so like intense, and this was so fun and refreshing for them, because when the band first started (the first 6 months) this was what all their shows were like. Karen was just amazing, seriously though the coolest most orginal person, ever. She even dedicated a song to Mia and Lena, Lena says shes going to marry her. At the end they gave out these special edition cds, a random compilation of songs. Here are so wonderful pictures of them,

no other pictures were aloud, unfortunatly.

Last night I went with Angelica, Eddie, and whole string of people to see Cirque du Soleil. Which was surprisingly really cool. The acrobatics were beautiful. My favorite part was when their was this tight rope walker and they had these to old italian men playing this gorgeous song on guitar. After that we went to Kate Mantellini for dinner, then Jesse stayed at the house until 2:10 exactly, talking about who knows what. Angelica is leaving today which is so sad and school is starting up in a week...
