HEAT RAVE=Coachella 2007

So, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2007 was basically the best weekend of our lives. It was so amazing and writing everything that happened in this blog will barely do it justice.
friday:
so we drove up to palm springs (me, mia, cassidy) at like 9 oclock and got there at 1130 and went in the hot tub...for like 23p94u823p hours and then went to sleep. met zoe hannah mel for breakfast at la quinta 26 resturaunt.

drove up with hannah mel em n m (ha) and hung around the room, watched chumscrubber. met livy for breakfast.

on friday morn me mia cassidy got massages and then got dressed for the amazing day ahead of us. zoe went swimming with m h e and a bunch of other coachella regulars. so we get to coachella and are forced to walk for about 91302483 hours and then we enter heaven.

first we were sitting getting water in the vip section and this guy from spin came up and took a picture of us and interviewed us

I went with mia and cassidy to see OF MONTREAL and we ran into paloma there and also ben hailey shadeh natasha joey thomas henry jacob and others and watched of montreal which were amazing. after that we went to watch the end of SILVERSUN PICKUPS (my fav song) and just layed on the grass and closed our eyes and like absorbed the music. then i met up with the crew (zo han m_)

i went and saw of montreal and ran into olivia c olivia m claire will and sam, then we went and found olivia.

We went and saw CIRCA SURVIVE which was really intresting, you know all the metals packed into a tent, ARCITIC MONKIES which were okay kind of the smae thing. then went to the vip area and chilled out a bit. we went to STEPHEN MARLEY which was awesome. and then the god, PEACHES. olivia: me and hannah were in the third row of people and dancing, and she came into the audience which was thrilling. seriously she was incredible. and when she entered the stage none other then the final countdown (arrested development) came on me and hannah died. jessica alba was dancing on stage so marty introduced us.
then we went on an excursion to the rave tents PEEPING TOM, and apparently jesse nolan saw us dancing.

after this we went to watch INTERPOL from the vip section and has saw paris hilton, said hi to amber tamblyn and just danced around. went to meet sam and crew at SONIC YOUTH and virgil was there too. sonic youth was kind of boring so we met up with thomas henry joey jacob at BJORK. sitting with us was paloma ella shadeh kelan and i think i saw olivia olivia claire out of the corner of my eye. mackenzie goldberg was there too! havent seen her in a while.

after bjork i left the backstage way with brian mia cassidy and my mom and went back to the hotel. and SLEPT

after coach me hannah mel em hung in the room and hannah teased her hair in the mountains.

SATURDAY:
i woke up and met the crew for breakfast, saw alex wilhelm at la quinta which was surprising, then hannah went to the spa.

me olivia mel em went swimming for like 6 hours, we went to a thousand pools and had pina coladas, we met some sexy boys and chilled with them for a while, coachella had taken over la quinta.

then we went to the festival and saw REGINA SPEKTOR which was incredible. her voice is beautiful and we were so close, kate talked to her and told her to play samson for us.
then i went to the vip section and met hannah mel em zo but they were off to go backstage at NEW PORNOGRAPHERS, while we were standing in front of the powder room (me mia cassidy audrey imogen jengo) were talking and this girl (in Jeremy's clothes) came to us and asked us if we wanted to be in ID MAGAZINE. we were like o.k. and she brought us to the couches so we were like what exactly are we doing and she said that Jeremy Scott was photographing a piece on youth culture at Coachella for the ID september issue. So she introduced us to jeremy (whom i love) and we talked for a while about people in la that we knew and just everything. so then they gave us clothes to wear (i got this gorgeous lace dress, with lace socks and my nikes) then they put fake dreads in my hair and painted my face. so we did a bunch of shoots, me cassidy and jengo did one together which was really cool. then we were sitting and jeremy was introducing us to his friends mark hunter (the famous cobra snake) and cory kennedy and then cory did a similiar shoot.

after that i met up with zoe hannah and mel and we talked to jeremy for a while who introduced us to RATATAT unfortunatly we missed them but theyre going to put us on the list at their next l.a. show.

then we went to the Decemberists and a wee bit of Kings of Leon which were both incredible
then we saw vincent gallo, tera reid, claire from lost, drew barrymore, and adam brody.

after that olivia and i ran over to get a good spot for cocorosie, on the way we ran into audrey & imogen, mkenzy, and said hi to ella, selena, sam&will, and shadeh.

we were so mad b.c they were going to pay rainbow warriors, but the mechanics were messed up so they couldn't peform it i almost cried, but we stayed for the whole thing and it was amazing.

Then we ran as fast as we could to finish seeing arcade fire.

soon after we went to the vip section and had to pee, and Jenny Lewis was standing in line, so we sayed hi.

We consumed about 5 red bulls and were not suprisingly jumping off the walls. but we were so hungry (having not eaten breakfast, lunch or dinner) we got a piece of pizza to share. and said hi to Jenny again and Jonathan Rice. we also saw Jessica Stam who looked gorgeous.

Then we ate our pizza on the grass and saw steve aoki and the beat boxer from cocorosie and congratulated them on their amazing performances. Around them we saw Lindsay Lohan.

After that olivia and i ran around taking pictures of amazing outfits which we hope you enjoy,
After the Red Hot Chilli Peppers we left hoping to avoid serious traffic on the way out we saw Mischa Barton.

the car ride home was pretty much a drift because we were sleeping the whole time.

now that coachella is over we are in deppression but it was good to back in sweet la.

So tomorrow me and zoe go to Coachella. Which will just speak for itself. steve aoki just announced he was playing so thats going to be awesome.
today was such a good day, at first we had english which is always good but robin was being weird today but who cares right and then there were some other boring classes. at lunch I (olivia) went to alden and nick's hip hop club but it was canceled haha only girl right here, and then being crossroads, they had some kung fu thing in the ally, the best was theo and bob, thomas berg and zach then nick maya and some random 11th grader. after school zoe dragged me to her therapists office (we had jack n box oreo shakes and fries so it was all good) and i gave evil looks to the preppy girls in there. and then we went shopping on main street and saw our friends at american apparel. we worked on our projects for the devil, after that i went to hannahs house to pick up some stuff for tomorrow but ended up staying for a while. SEE EVERYONE AT COACHELLA! woot woot

today was hard, olivia and i got a little carried away with brian, but we cant stop thinking about coachella, evan is pissed that he can't go and mel has decided to join hannah and i in indio. next year for coachella my parents have a house in palm spring, Definitly inviting everyone over and doing it that way. oh yeah and olivia and i seriously called eachother like 50 times non stop throughout the duration of the day plus we did hw. together. for Robin's class, wink wink hhhmmmmmmm. i love english

Coachella's in a short while in which zoe and i have been raving. um PEACHES, so sorry evan( he cant go and peaches is his fav band). It was a pretty traumatizing night and i just called hannah but she has "people over" and cant talk. i'm for some reason like falling asleep right now but cant bring myself to actually sleep. today was really intresting basically every teacher like except robin and kirril hate me so thats always nice. i seriously just cant wait until this weekend and then next weekend im seeing bright eyes with mel (u know to make up for lost shows) which will probably be incredible since cassadaga is so fucking good.and then i finally get a weekend to like sleep haha. everythings just working out really well right now. louisa has been bothering me about new nikes all night, guess we need to go to undefeated soon, check up the new ones.

Coachella

Olivia is going to coachella with kate, brian (music executive), and these three other people who i forgot their names (i remember 2 were girls and 1 was a guy). Im going to drive up with hannah then stay at the same hotel that all the bands are staying at la quitta (something). im so excited to see Cocorosie andeverything. im only going to friday and saturday. and i have an extra ticket for Friday. i cant wait. then on saturday night im coming home with olivia and kate.

weekend

i had a game today and we won, that so good, but i got two of the biggest bruises with are swelling
thursday was fun i "got" to draw in hansi's drawing book and did some pretty amazing drawings of hansi himself, hannah, olivia, and another person.
Friday was so funny. olivia and i went to the country mart, which was kind of fun too many youngins though.
my zenzo was tasteless when they have alot of customers they kind of make it up in shity service they even messed up olivia's order.
in zenzo an 11th grader came up to zoe (while she was by herself b.c. olivia ditched her to talk to louisa's friend. and was seriously so hot, we talked about how old we were and i was like mixing up b.c. i just had my birthday. but ya.
Then we ate at readi chick yummm
When we were walking out i saw michelle and she had some questions about the date
then we caught sight of brandon (evan's brother) and like gave him the biggest hug
alll of the girls he was with were practically fighting over him so we had a moment of glory with the next generation
then we heard these people yell behind us and they were like "ooooohhh meeeiiiiiiiii goooooosssh, it's zoe and olivia" we were speach less and still dont know who those people were but we do know something about their/her personal life we will not reveal
then we b picked olivia and i up and took us to evan's house where olivia and i radded his closet listened to records and i actually am now i have evans cheap mondays and marc jacobs interesting tshirt.
Then we waited at the roads for olivia, evan, and tori's amazing show to start.
i almost cried b.c. i made olivia laugh on stage
also when evan made out with natasha,,,,,, brandon (e's brother) and i were not even kidding crying
tears fell while the show ended and i gave them some balloons and flowers with hannah.

We missed the cheat on friday at the Roxy
but i bet they were amazing

oh this lifes a thrill

So this weekend was really fun Zoes with aj and them (it was really cool like a dj, movies, hot tub, sprinkles) and on saturday i had to practice for the play which was like murder and then i got home and fell asleep, and on sunday though me and zoe went to the shins which was incredible they were so good live and his voice sounded exactly the same which was really surprising it was at this gorgeous theater downtown the orpheum and we ran into m and b, which was weird and then driving home we basically went though the ghetto at like 1 so i was crying. coachella is next weekend and i can barely contain myself.

24 is amazing the begining of the season was slow but its so kicked up now its incredible

so im lazy so the pictures wont be up for another post.
tonight was SIMON DAWES at the roxy they were incredible, it was the first time i had seen them live (unfortunatly) and the blew me away. i went with hansi and we met up with a bunch of people there, thomas, chessta d, caitlin (for like a sec) and a bunch of random intresting ppl that i met. the whole atmosphere there was insane. my fav was probably all her crooked ways.
more on break:
today went shopping for Z's present
went to various meals and had frozen yogurt everyday (not joking)
I've decided the best is chocolate vanilla swirl from penguins with rainbow sprinkles. beats the hell out of brentwood yogurt.
Z is in Hawaii......oh god.

i dont know i think the roxy is becoming one of my favorite venues
