Golden Magazines

The fashion hallmark of Gianfranco Ferre' brought the late designer's career to an angelic ending on Sunday
A standing ovation was given to this menswear collection which was designed before Ferre's unexpected death a week ago
Kids around the age of 5 walked on the runway with mens white shirts on this also mirrored the important aspects of the show
The picture of this moment is on the far right (picture below) photographed by Christopher Moore/Karl Prouse
And examples of Ferre''s previous collections are below

The summer 2008 season has opend with a focus on the man who works hard and plays on his private yacht
This meaning obviously straight cut vests, lean suits, and even leaner neckties
Also including like slick city boots and Neoprene jackets
Designers that are opening with this now generic line up for 2008 are Dries Van Noten, Missoni, Jil Sander, Versace, Burberry Prorsum, and Dolce & Gabbana

New York

Since Zoe updated from Italy I feel obligated to update from New York since I have computer access pretty much all of the time. New York has been amazing. What we have been doing,, wednesday we got in and went to Johns Pizza best pizza basically in all of new york. Then on thursday we went to lunch and the 3 guys with Tom then stopped by and visited some friends. Afterwards Romello cooked us dinner and we went to see A Chorus Line, which was really good. The next day my grandma took me and Louisa shopping, i got this gorgeous black dress with like chain illustrations almost, this blue dress, and a silver metallic skirt. After that we went to the East Village to St. Marks Place, my fav store was Trash and Vaudeville. Jimmy was supersweet and we talked about LA shopping like Maxfields and Fred Segal and how his store was so much better, I got zebra print jeans and we also got some presents for Mia and Lena.

After we took the subway back uptown and went to Fusia this great Japanese restaurant for dinner. The next day we went buy Peter's place and went to some coffee shop to lunch with him and r, then they took us to the UN which was intresting, but kind of boring, we were so tired so we walked back to our house and just like slept the rest of the night.

Next morning we woke up and went to the Chelsea Flea Market which was kind of disgusting but we found some great vintage glasses. We walked into the Chelsea Hotel made famous by writers like Tennesse Williams and socialites such as Edie Sedgewick. Then we went to Brooklyn where we saw Katheryn for lunch and walked around there which was nice. We found some cute little shops. Then I was forced to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge back into Manhattan which was hell, its so hot here. Well anyways we took a cab to SoHo where we went to Uniqlo where they had a collaboration with fashion photographer Terry Richardson after we went to H & M and then this amazing store Seven where they sell a ton of Jeremy Scott and really obscure designers. Then we were walking to Naomi's in the village where we came across the once a year gay pride parade and got detoured for like half an hour. Intresting, then Naomi's for dinner.

Today I slept in and then went to lunch in Central Park don't know what im doing tonight but we'll see..
Everyone comes in soon im so excited

Rome Luca Tuscany Florence Pisa

basically italy is incredible
when in rome we pretty much saw everything.

but the best shopping was under the spanish steps

luca was really incredible i rode a bike around the wall twice
it took a long time but it was seriously amazing
and in Pisa i obviously saw the leaning tower

it was not as ideal as i imagined due to the excesive amount of graffiti
i felt like an idiot because i think people like to rip off americans

but we rented a house in tuscany which was amazing

i just hung around by the pool and kitchen

then my relatives from Austria came to visit there

my cousins Madeline 18 and Jouhanis 15 were really nice to see again
madeline came to visit us over christmas break 06
so i recently saw her
but i hadnt seen jouhanis since i dont even know and it was really nice to see him
too

it was good to catch up
madeline and i talked mostly about music and we realized that we like some of the same bands primarily, Kaiser Chiefs.
my favorite place was florence though

i got 2 pairs of shoes from janet & janet and i actually met the designer in the store and he was really sweet and gave me 50 euro's off
then a shirt and another pair of shoes from zara.
i miss la though so much
the last night in florence there was a festival where every store on this one street stays open till like 2am.

i was also so happy to see american apparel

and that was so incredilble
one thing that was really wierd was that i met the owner of the counter next to clover

he was really sweet and with his wife who was so nice
they had just arrived that afternoon
i'm leaving tomorrow from italy to germany and then to la. straight through

i can't wait to start packing for camp.
the sooner i can see everyone
i hope olivia, kate, louisa are having fun in NY
